Rattler
Rattler
The eastern diamondback rattlesnake (EDB) is the largest (by body mass) snake native to North America. The eastern indigo snake will grow to be longer, but is not nearly as heavy as the rattlesnake, which can grow to over 7 feet in length and weight more than 30 pounds. The EDB is a species of special concern throughout its range due to habitat loss and indiscriminate killing by ignorant people. These beautiful animals are important keystone predators in their ecosystems, and deserve our respect and protection. This is a reduction linocut print.
